Ruston Turbine CT1, CT2 Blade Repairs and Upgrades

The Liburdi technologies used to restore and extend life include:

• Full coating strip and replace with oxidation/corrosion resistant
• Aluminide Coating or upgrade to Platinum Aluminide if required for severe service
• Full Solution Rejuvenation^® Heat Treatments to fully restore alloy properties and strength
• High-hour service - parts are re-certified to meet new-part specifications.
• Tip weld repairs to restore original tip seal height, to regain efficiency and power
• Upgrade for CT1 shroud lift distortion – re-profile of shroud reduces stress,  prevents future distortion.

• Unique proprietary LPM® high strength powder metallurgy process used to repair major crack damage - conventional weld repairs are proven to be unreliable.
• LPM® to restore airfoil thickness and dimensions – not possible with conventional weld repairs
• LPM® repair process is proven to significantly improve or eliminate cracking in future service

Ruston Combustor Repairs and Upgrades

• Combustor Liner receives matching strength weld repair of crack damage, and full strip and replacement  of all coatings
• Transition Piece (Quadrants for the TB) is repaired by welding minor crack damage and by high strength LPM® for major damage – enabling repair of all parts received regardless of damage
